About Ikigai Psychiatry

Shriya Kaneriya, MD

Dr. Shriya Kaneriya Founding Psychiatrist

Ikigai Psychiatry is a Connecticut-based integrative telepsychiatry private practice founded on my belief that the most effective and sustainable healing solutions in medicine exist at the convergence of science and story. Healing is a holistic process that requires reflection and action.

I am passionate about combining traditional psychiatric approaches with evidence-informed holistic approaches to help young professionals and adults overcome anxiety, depression, trauma and life stressors to live happier, more meaningful lives.

I incorporate judicious use of medication, solution & process-oriented psychotherapy, mind-body practices, nutritional supplementation, and lifestyle modifications (i.e. sleep, diet, and exercise) into a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan that is aligned with your goals and vision for a fulfilling life.

Compassionate, collaborative, conscientious care

I believe that the doctor-patient relationship is central to the therapeutic process. I enjoy working alongside perceptive, growth-driven individuals with inquisitive minds and nostalgic souls who are ready to invest in themselves and searching for a psychiatrist who will meet them with empathy, authenticity, honesty, creativity, and a dash of humor.
