Services

The following services are offered as part of treatment plans — personalized based on your needs and preferences:

  • I can help you arrive at an optimized medication regimen that relieves symptoms and minimizes side effects. Finding the right medication is often an important aspect of managing psychiatric symptoms -- when combined with the extra support of holistic interventions, you may feel better faster and eventually reduce your need for medication in the future.

*Note: I do not prescribe any controlled medications (such as benzodiazepines and stimulants) at this time due to federal regulations regarding the prescription of controlled substances over telemedicine (Ryan Haight Act).

  • I use methods derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Narrative and Meaning-Centered Therapies, and Motivational Interviewing in working with patients. I start the therapy process by actively listening to you and your story, tailoring the process to fit your unique situation.

In some cases, our work together may involve a more goal-oriented approach of teaching you concrete tools that help you gain insight into yourself and break free from the negative patterns holding you back.

In other cases, we may journey on a more depth-oriented approach that explores how you think, experience and relationally function in the world (including biological, social and cultural aspects). We will create an open, non-judgmental space to process larger life questions of human existence, personal values, and beliefs. Through this work, we can help you uncover roots of problems and better understand yourself so that you are empowered to make life choices that align with who you are and lead a life that feels sincere, connected, and purposeful.

  • Even the most effective medication regimen may fall short if your sleep, nutrition, or exercise routines don't support your mental health. While changing lifestyle habits can be challenging, I'm here to guide you through small, manageable steps that encourage you to take an active role in fostering lasting positive changes that enhance your quality of life.

  • I can teach you how to use mindfulness and meditation practices to cultivate present-moment awareness, improve focus, reduce stress, and better ride the natural waves of emotions to stabilize mood and restore balance.

  • How are the ways you think and function in the world shaped by the historical, biological, social and cultural contexts of your life?

  • How do you stay present through both the joys and sorrows of life experiences?

  • How can you live in your truth and in harmony with others?

  • How will you transform insight into action for a daily living that supports sustained well-being?

I evoke these questions in my approach to help you better understand the roots of problems and build empowering personal narratives of wisdom, resilience, and meaning.
